Your Instructor's Biography

Patricia L. Lincoln, JD

Tricia is a practicing attorney with over 10 years of experience in financial and estate planning. Tricia is one of the Advanced Planning Educational Group’s (APEG) curriculum team members and contributors. She brings a unique perspective to financial and estate planning since she has been on both sides of the planning process.

Tricia began her career in 2008 at Retirement Concepts Group, LLC. She obtained her Life, Accident, & Health License, as well as her Series 6 & 63 Licenses and discovered her passion for helping individuals and families with their financial, estate and business planning. In 2013 she decided to take her passion even further and applied to law school. She attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law where she completed both her J.D. and Master of Law (LLM) in taxation. During law school she participated in the Estate Planning Externship.

Tricia is Counsel in the Dentons’ Trusts, Estates and Wealth Preservation group, where she focuses her practice on estate planning, special needs planning, probate, business law, real estate transactions, and civil litigation. In addition to her practice, Patricia serves on the board and on the Mentoring Committee of Earl E. O’Connor American Inns of Court, and she is Chair of the Johnson County Bar Association’s Probate Section for 2021. She is a member of the Platte County Bar Association; past NAIFA Young Advisors Team - Board Member; and past NAIFA Kansas City - Special Events Chair.

Outside of work she is an avid golfer who also enjoys fishing and playing the piano. She is married with two stepdaughters.
